” I refuse to be called a victim. I am not defined by what happened in my life.
I am a survivor, defined by how I live my life. “
-ADRIANNE HASLET, dance instructor who lost her leg in the Boston Marathon bombing
Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the mountain of chaos (or laundry) that surrounds you? That there is just too much to tackle and you don’t know where to start? Are you ready to get back on track and put your home in order?
You are in the right place. We can help!
I am a professional organizer specializing in residential organizing and decluttering, functionally efficient space planning, and relocation (move in/out) consulting. I help you sift through the physical and mental clutter to help you define and design your own Simple Abundant Life.
I’m a mom of 2 busy little boys and I’m doing my best to create a fantastically fun and fulfilling life for me and my family. I have my BA in Human Biology from Stanford University and love studying all the things that make us human. The Stanford Human Biology department says that their “mission is to provide an interdisciplinary approach to understanding the human being from biological, behavioral, social, and cultural perspectives.” It’s so interesting to think about how all of our different experiences, biologies, and perspectives begin to shape who we are.
In my consulting sessions, I work with you in a nurturing and supportive way that helps us both identify emotions, behaviors, and habits that may be adding to the mental and physical blocks building clutter in your life. By the end of your chosen program, you will feel empowered as you look at your gorgeous uncluttered space. I am happy to share the many tools I have discovered that have helped me maintain an efficiently managed home! We will create a real life action plan to help you more easily manage your home. We will set you and your space up for success and give you tangible and realistic tips, tricks, and techniques to keep it maintained.
In the past I had struggled for years with issues of Anxiety, Depression, and PTSD and, at one time, unfortunately found myself admitted to the Behavioral Health Unit of our local hospital. I’d like to say that perhaps that was a turning point for me in my journey of self-realization. There are so many facets that define us as human and even though we may struggle (sometimes at what may seem to be an unbearable amount), we must not allow the struggle of humanity to rob us of the potential joys of daily living and purposeful fulfillment. My goal here at Simple Abundant Life is to share my journey and the tools that I’ve found that help provide clarity, intentionality, and fulfillment in my life.
In this journey of life, we all have the power to identify where we are, where we want to go, and if our current patterns and behaviors are leading us in the right direction. I once heard some very wise advise regarding social media: “Never compare your behind-the-scenes to other people’s ‘highlight’ reels.” So true. Everyone has their own challenges. You are not alone. There is hope in all things. I am a living testament to this fact. I am grateful everyday for the breaths I breathe, the sounds I hear, and the decisions I get to make. I am determined to design a life I love and hope you will come along and enjoy this journey with me!
